The sight of a model aeroplane flying, your first steps in to the model shop and that first day you bring your model to the flying field?...

There are two basic types; sport or Scale. You'll need to decide whether to purchase a Kit or an ARTF. ARTF models are more or less 90% built and need only the installation of the Radio Equipment and basic setup.......

Building a model Aeroplane isn't really that hard, all you need is plenty time, patience and the correct tools. The supplied instructions are usually quite comprehensive, and there are a wealth of informative websites available which specialise in this subject. Check out our links section for details of related websites and online forums.

If you're new to Radio Control then the setting up of some of the more modern computer radio sets can be a complete mystery. We would advise that once you have constructed the model, you should then seek advice from the other aeroplane pilots at your local club.
